changes included individual factors and protective factors as seen in Table 6 below.

This change can be accounted for by the fact that he temporarily relocated from
the volatile Dalling Street community to a farming community in the same parish of

Westmorland and was with relatives. Here he started helping on the family’s farm and
was being positively influenced by his uncles and other relatives. Association with gang

members from the Dalling Street community, as well as the impulse to smoke marijuana,
was reduced. It was indicated that the reduction in marijuana smoking was out of respect

for his family members, as he did not want them to see him smoking the substance.

The final reassessment of risk was completed for DJ as he closed out the General
Construction Level 3 studies and began his job pursuits. The overall risk assessment score

for DJ at the time of his reassessment was LOW as seen in Table 7 below. The risk domains in
which changes were observed were that of violence history (data based on his activities

in the last nine months) and mental health. The individual factors remained at medium as
his pro-criminal associations diminished significantly as he began his permanent transition

out of the volatile Dalling Street community. However, he still smokes occasionally.
Protective factors remained at medium as he continued to receive some support from

family members, an arrangement that created some semblance of stability in his life and
that of his other two siblings, one of whom is also a beneficiary of the CSJP III.
